Cooling Effect

Resin used to extrude Multifilament High Density Polyethylene has a natural cooling effect. The finished yarn lends itself well to various types of applications. The cooling effect coupled with the light weight of HDPE is attractive for manufacturers that typically work with Nylon or Polyester.

Moss Prevention

HDPE’s characteristics are well suited for applications involving water. Unlike Nylon or Polyester yarns, HDPE is hydrophobic which can prevent moss build up on fabrics exposed to water.

Low Melting Point

Compared to other synthetics Multifilament High Density Polyethylene ( HDPE ) has a lower melt point at roughly 260°-280°F which can be advantageous for customers that are looking for adhesion.
